I dreamt of another you tonight.

The ringer on your phone was set on high while your suitor’s exasperated calls formed melodies shaped like pewter wings. Stone veils covered your ever reaching sight.
Asleep, I dreamt of another you tonight. In the hazy mess that resides in my mind you approached, curt smiles-foreboding touches- the kit-caboodle of gastronomic works.
We hold these thoughts as self evident yet denounce every aspect of our constitutional agreement.
“Not too much the same you and me..” I remember those autumn night whispers that you cooed in my ears, rubbed my belly whilst I lay awake.
In my self loathing why are my eyes fixed on you?
